Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Macon is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Macon peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Update from the below. Loves told us to get in touch with the customer service folks, presumably at the Truck Stop, so we did. Hubby tried to find a manager on duty and was told there is no manager. The associate he spoke with said to go talk to the manager of the Subway, which accomplished nothing. We also sent an email to Loves Corporate two weeks ago and got absolutely nothing back. We also went to the towing company again and were told that they would send us a receipt as soon as they could find the "paperwork". Good luck with that. Finally, we filed a complaint with the GA State AG Chris Carr and they will investigate this racket. It is unbelievable that Loves could tell a towing company to to an 18 wheeler tractor and trailer and have no paperwork on this. If I could give zero stars I would. My son is a trucker who parks at the Loves on exit 153 and then stays with us for a few days. This time around when he was going back on the road, his truck was gone from Love's lot. He was told that Underwoods had towed, no explanation given. Loves had no paperwork and just gave him a phone number. We called it and also went to their impound lot and were told since it was a Saturday,

I run long haul from Washington State to Florida. And I try to go to Loves exclusively because I like the friendly people I meet at every Loves I go to. This Loves finally broke that chain. I have walked in and out 3 times and have not been greeted the famous βwelcome to Lovesβ βhave a safe driveβ or even a simple nod. Nothing. To top it off, I waited 45 minutes for a shower and the shower is disgusting. Pubes everywhere and dried poop stains on the toilet which means itβs been here for a minute. DO BETTER. This is poor management no doubt about it. Edit: I was acknowledged on my way out of the shower room by a female employee.

Great place to stop, gets full fast but creative parking is plenty. But why is the highway ramp so tight that you have to jump the concrete is beyond me. Maybe the city needs to reconsider this busy with trucks intersection and also add paved shoulder parking
